Levitate, levitate, levitate. The gin clear waters of Gold River can make one forget they are underwater and not floating through space itself. With @maxwelhohn @hollisdive and @suuntodive in Vancouver Island, Canada.

Diving with some really big Mexican fishies. 🇲🇽🐳🦈 My wife and I tried out our new @baresports #BAREexowear on this trip and now we’re true believers. So much more comfortable than a wetsuit, modular so you can add warmth and layers, and perfect sun protection which you know my white butt needs. Stellar product BARE, nice work. @yucatandivetrek @morgsdrumm @solo_buceo_cancun ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #mexico #whalesharks #shark #sharks #girlsthatfreedive #solobuceo #baresports #yucatandivetrek #yucatan #travel #travelstoke #diving #scubashooters #scuba #underwaterphoto #underwaterphotography #bareinyourelement #westinlagunamar #nauticm #gh5

Whale hello there. I sea you over there, and I’m glad I spotted you 🐳🦈 ⠀ Just had the most amazing day out at sea with my friends @yucatandivetrek and @solo_buceo_cancun We saw dozens or more whale sharks and flocks of manta rays, what a day. I was so excited for and so proud of @morgsdrumm for coming along and meeting these big critters too. If you didn’t know, each summer loads of mantas and whale sharks gather in the waters around Isla Mujeres, to feed on plankton that accumulates in a relatively small area of open ocean. If you haven’t seen this legendary gathering, I suggest you put it on your travel plans for 2020. Also please invite me because I just can’t get enough! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

Exploring the freshwater canyons of Vancouver Island with @maxwelhohn and @hollisdive Some of the coolest freshwater dives in the world, but they can only be accessed certain times of the year when the rain and the river flow are just right.

Say hello to my little frenz. Just joining the afternoon commute back to the lake bottom with a ton of toadlets. The little fellers move along the Tadpole Express highway between the shallow shores and the lake bottom, dodging giant leaches as they move onwards. #BeneathBC #DiveOceanic #OceanicShadow #PADI #EveryDayEveryDive

The March of the Tadpoles! Everyday billions of tadpoles make small migrations from the deeper water of lakes and ponds to the shallower water to feed. An epic migration in miniature form. Thanks @maxwelhohn for sharing this amazing dive with me! Follow @williamdrumm for animals big and small. #TadpoleExpress #OperationTadpole #BAREsports #PADI

The Eagle Show with @biganimalencounters Never before have I seen anything quite on the scale of “The Eagle Show” which I witnessed a few days ago off of Vancouver Island. Once a day in a secret passage two currents collide creating a natural phenomenon of epic proportions. One current pushes the other current up from the bottom with such force that any small fish in the area is rocketed up to the surface, then held there unable to go back down. Hundreds of bald eagles have caught wind of the phenomenon, and essentially form an eaglenado of roughly 200 birds for less than an hour of intense feeding right around tide change. Other animals including giant lingcod also take part in the daily feast. I snagged a few shots of the eagles snagging fish, including this one. If you are ever looking for something special and unique while visiting Vancouver Island definitely check out @biganimalencounters Follow @williamdrumm for more wild wildlife footage. #ExploreVanIsle #HelloBC #ExploreCanada #eagle

When your stare into the Abyss, the Abyss stares back at you. 👁 The Abyss is a hidden freshwater gem of a dive site located in a river bend, with a pit in the center that drops down to the deep. In the Fall giant schools of salmon thousands strong assemble here, gathering their strength before the next leg off their upstream journey. The dive site is sun sensitive, meaning it can go from bright and inviting to dark and foreboding within minutes. We mainly saw the darker side of the site, which made for some eery photos of this secret freshwater dive. Thanks to @krystaljanicki for modeling the new #BAREelate wetsuit, coming soon from @baresports Loving the design and the material of the Elate, which also comes in a shorty. #BeneathBC #PADI #BAREinyourelement @paditv @maxwelhohn @atomic_aquatics

Hail to the Orca. The most powerful apex predator to roam our vast oceans. They eat whales and white sharks, possess unknown intelligence, have communities and even dialects, and command respect from all that they share the sea with.

The perfection of the blue shark. Sleek, perfectly colorized for their endless blue environment. They were called the wolves of the sea by mariners, often arriving in packs for opportunistic feeding events on the open ocean. Can you imagine how many of these beautiful fish must have occupied the oceans in preindustrial times? #ultraviolet #beautifulblues

#StahlsacGoAnywhere - one of the most remote and special places I have visited are the Gili Islands off Lombok. There are no cars, the roads are made of sand, yet underwater art is found just offshore. I spent just a few nights in this dive Mecca, certainly not enough. This is my entry to the #StahlsacGoAnywhere weekly giveaway. You can enter too, learn how at @stahlsac !

Repost @paditv ・・・ I had so much fun putting together this edit for my friends @paditv The diving in BC is world class, although a bit cooler than some other dive locations. The sea lions are one of the best parts about diving BC, they are so fun and inquisitive and have a temperament like overgrown water puppies. Big thanks to @baresports @maxwelhohn @r.keat @hiimjoe88 and @pacificprodive for helping with the shoot. I’ll be back in BC in a few weeks, can’t wait! 🌲🐋🐙 There's so much to see in British Columbia! 😍 Who else has been diving in Canada? 🇨🇦 📷: @williamdrumm
