Happy World Photography Day! Big thanks to one of my inspirations the great and powerful @chasejarvis for pushing me forward in my creative journey. I’m still learning and growing as a human thanks to this great adventure in photography. Pictured here, a breathtaking sunrise in the Rocky Mountains. The best way to start a day, no question.
Rainbows, amazing light and wildflowers everywhere. Crested Butte, your not such a bad place ya know... After driving out of town to some of the higher elevations I saw this scene developing in the valley. I setup and waited, then it all came together. This was special night, one of those moments where you just know the shots you captured are going to be solid. 👌🏻👌🏻
This was one of my favorite evenings in Crested Butte during the wildflower festival. Admittedly this is an easily accessible spot, only a few minutes hike from the car. I was downtown with my family this evening and planned to take a night off after 4 straight days of sunrises and sunsets. I saw the clouds forming over the peaks and couldn’t resist. So I bolted up to Snodgrass and setup for this amazing show! Hope you like it. 😀
Here we go, it’s time for wildflower overload! This is one of my favorites from my recent trip to Crested Butte for the wildflower festival. I caught this sweet little composition on the final evening of my visit. I drove past this spot several times all week and these flowers popped just at the right time.
Lightning over Boulder. My first try at catching some lightning on camera. This is what I truly love about photography. I’m constantly learning and growing. I shot for over an hour and only got this one shot that is worth anything. I’m clearly using the wrong camera settings as the lightning was plentiful last night. Anyone out there care to help me with the appropriate techniques for photographing lightning??? 🙏🏻
Beautiful morning above the clouds. #Boulder , CO showing off again.
