Anchorage Bay ~ Green Head ~ Western Australia About 3 hours north of Perth is the sleepy little town of Green Head. We stayed 2 nights here and explored the beaches and surrounding little towns. While exploring we found the best fish and ship shop in Leeman! The weather was pretty ordinary while we were here except for our first night... when we went to the lookout to watch the sunset over the bay with its water like glass! #wercruisinoz #travellingaustralia #travellingaustraliawithkids #travelaustralia #caravaningaustraliawithkids #tawk #seewesternaustralia #visitwa #westernaustralia #seeaustralia #travelwesternaustralia #justanotherdayinwa #abcmyphoto #greenhead #anchoragebay

'Timothee Vasse' by Russell Sheridan This is a really awesome sculpture. Not only does it produce one of the most epic photos but it's created by Russell. If you're not sure who Russell Sheridan is do a quick Google search. If you're a bit of an art buff and have been to WA chances are you've visited something he's created. I had Vasse, man and dog and Fergus the bull photographed before I learnt the artists name and realised they were all made by the same awesome person. But enough fan girl! The story behind the sculpture is pretty epic too! In 1801 a storm hit a French ship (Le Geographe ) and a wave washed Thomas Timothee Vasse overboard. Despite being presumed dead the captain doubled back to look for Vasse but found no trace. In 1834 British settlers were shown a grave of a white man they said spent his days gazing out to see Xoxo 💜 __________________________________________________ #vasse #westernaustralia #russllsheridan #australianpublicart #publicartaustralia #sculpture #art #australianart #australiansculpture #travelwesternaustralia #discoverwesternaustralia #westisbest #lapofaustralia #timotheevasse #bigthingsaustralia #roadsideattraction #bigthingsonly #madeinaustralia #bigthingswa #publicartWA #insearchofquirk #wanderlustaustralia

When your kids sleep past 6.30am on a Monday morning and then wake up and start playing Lego (calmly ) while they eat their breakfast and then get ready for the day without resistance, all while the sun is shining and the air is warm, you just know you're going to have a good day! The big one got to school early and the little one was happy (excited even 😲 ) to go to the creche while I went to the gym! I mean.... 🙌 This is the stuff Monday dreams are made of! 😉 I'm feeling this is going to be a good week! . How was your Monday, friends?

Jurien Bay ~ Western Australia The remains of the old jetty at Jurien Bay are now part of a dive trail. Parallel to the coast is a limestone reef and the local Men's Shed group have created over 70 large concrete reef balls and have had them placed in the water around the old jetty. The large concrete reef balls covered in slime, then algae which attached mussels, oysters, soft corals and small sea creatures such as sea squirts. Over 50 species of marine creatures including crayfish, octopus, stingrays and shovel nose sharks have been They range from between 2 and 6m deep and there is a dive trail that you can follow. The Men's Shed has plans to add more balls to the reef, and is now part of the program 'Rest in Reef' whereby people pay to have ashes incorporated into the concrete reef balls. #wercruisinoz #travellingaustralia #travellingaustraliawithkids #travelaustralia #caravaningaustraliawithkids #tawk #seewesternaustralia #visitwa #westernaustralia #seeaustralia #travelwesternaustralia #justanotherdayinwa #abcmyphoto #jurienbay #jurienbayjetty #oldjettyjurienbay

Had the absolute BEST weekend with the most amazing crew! So much fun shooting our upcoming range up at Wedge Island. 🌊 So great when you can spend the morning surfing fun waves, then run a muck with the camera, cracking up laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Lucky we have patient boyfriends 😂

Today we visited Rottnest island off the coast from Perth. We did a 10km cycle (no we aren’t cyclists and we always seem to do a lot of exercise on holidays!! ) This was Little Salmon Bay on the south side of the island where we snorkelled. It was far more fresh than we’re used to (invigorating is what the locals call it ), but such a gorgeous colour. How could you not want to dive in!? . . 2019

Thx to @fewdaysbetween we went to this amazing animal rescue place. They really do a great job there! Most kangaroo babys are found in the pouch of their dead mums killed by cars. A lot of them have broken legs and first need to recover until they are back released into the wild.. 🦘🦘 did you know that Australia had the highest extinction rate for big mammals over the last 300 years. 🤯😢 #savetheplanet

A little detour to Marocco? 😝 In 1840 the first camels were imported to Australia to make inland exploration easier.. When the camels were released into the wild around the 1920s their population grew to more than 1,2 million. Because of the severe damage they caused to Australias nature, the governments funded culling project now kills around 160‘000 feral camels every year.. 🐪🐫🐪🐫 I think the biggest problem of nature is the interference of humans and I really hope that we find a way back to respect and live with nature in harmony ☮️
