🔮Happy Moonday🌝 So this past Saturday, May 18th, was a Blue Full Moon. This meant that all the culmination of the issues that we have been dealing with two weeks earlier, (at the last new moon, ) are starting to reveal the doors to the truth of where we’re supposed to be moving. ♉️ Taurus asks us to consider our relationship to money, possessions, and how that reflects and mirrors our core values and soul desires. ♏️ Scorpio asks us to let go of control and to die psychologically by facing our selves, fears, and our ego. This is the time for you to inwardly heal old childhood wounds, negative mental thoughts that you have let become your routine, and anything that no longer serves you. Focus on becoming the best possible version of yourself possible. Think about the person you always needed in your life when you were at your lowest. Be that person. You hold the power to choose for yourself your destiny. If there’s ever anything in life that you don’t see it ending with you as a better, healthier, stronger, and kinder soul; let go. 🕉🙏🏻 If you affirm this belief, believe in yourself, and the universe comment below with an ‘🙏🏻’ Taken on my Meade ♾ and 26mm lens. 💫 Edited by @jonpatrickconway 🧿

The Be star spins at extremely high velocity, ejecting matter through an equatorial disk. Part of this matter falls on to the black hole forming an accretion disk. Gabriel Pérez - SMM (IAC ) Spanish scientists have discovered the first binary system ever known to consist of a black hole and a “spinning” star — or more accurately, a Be-type star. Although predicted by theory, none had previously been found. The observations that led to the discovery were performed with the Liverpool and Mercator telescopes at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos in the Canary Islands, Spain. #interstellar #nasa #astronomy #Soyuz #Space #Sleep #astrophysics #spacecraft #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa #jaxajp #Cosmology #and #accumulator #galaxy #mini #IOTD #fuel #hst #flowers #gj #ah #arianagrande

On this day 17 years ago, the world lost a scientific icon far too soon. Carl Sagan has helped fundamentally change the person I am, helping me truly see the beauty in science. This video is a tribute to one of my favorite aspects of his work, the passion and wonder in which he contemplated life elsewhere in the cosmos. Through his contributions to SETI, Voyager, Pioneer and countless other projects, he's inspired the imagination, perspective and responsibility in the search for extraterrestrial life. Perhaps someday soon we will know who else "lives in the dark". I would love to hear your thoughts on Carl Sagan or our ongoing search for life. 💬  Footage credit: Alex Cherney; Music credit: Ólafur Arnalds; Quote credit: "Pale Blue Dot", Carl Sagan #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa #jaxajp #Cosmology #and #accumulator #galaxy #mini #interstellar #Space #spacecraft #astrophysics #hypebeast #adidas #indianspace #Indian #indian #indiapictures #indigo #delicious #Huygens

Whether outwardly or inwardly, whether in space or time, the farther we penetrate the unknown, the vaster and more marvelous it becomes." — Charles A. Lindbergh This is a dazzling animation of the Crab Nebula, a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. Corresponding to a bright supernova recorded by Chinese astronomers in 1054, the nebula was observed later by John Bevis in 1731. At the center of the nebula lies the Crab Pulsar, a neutron star 28–30 km across, which emits pulses of radiation from gamma rays to radio waves with a spin rate of 30.2 times per second. The nebula was the first astronomical object identified with a historical supernova explosion. Let's take a moment to ponder the sheer scale of the cosmos. Humanity's impact is a mere 200-light year bubble, the farthest distance that our earliest radio transmissions will have reached. This is quite tiny in the grand scheme of the universe. The Milky Way is around 120,000 light years in diameter. Given that we’re about half way along one of the Milky Way’s spiral arms, it would take about 80,000 years for our radio waves to blanket the entire galaxy. Then, beyond the Milky Way, the nearest full-size galaxy is Andromeda, which is two million light years away. It would take two million years for our radio waves to reach another galaxy. Homo sapiens, incidentally, are only around 300,000 years old. On average, galaxies are separated by millions of light years — and the latest estimates put the number of galaxies in the universe at around 500 billion. We observe the past but the universe is constantly evolving and changing. We can only sit and wonder about the magnificent events that have happened, and perhaps life that has evolved as a result, across the farthest reaches of the cosmos. We will most likely never know the majority of what has occurred but it's staggering to think about. (Video credit: ESO/ M. Neutron stars are extreme objects composed of 95 percent neutrons and five percent protons. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center Neutron stars are the remnants of violent supernovae, all that’s left behind when a star tens of times the mass of our Sun ends its nuclear fuel-burning life. These extreme objects pack more mass than our Sun — about 1.4 Suns’ worth of mass, to be more exact — into a stellar remnant about the width of a small city (6–12 miles [10–20 kilometers] ). #interstellar #nasa #astronomy #Soyuz #Space #Sleep #astrophysics #spacecraft #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa #jaxajp #Cosmology #and #accumulator #galaxy #mini #indianspace #indiatravelgram #indianarmy #indianfood #giveaway #hst #jupiter

The term Blue Moon has nothing to do with the color of the moon but instead is a moniker for an additional moon in a particular time period. Usually, the Blue Moon is defined as the second full moon in a month, but this time, the moniker comes from an older definition. The vernal equinox (which represents the start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere ) fell on March 20 this year. Less than 4 hours later, the first full moon of spring arrived. Rao cited an older definition of the Blue Moon from the now-defunct Maine Almanac, which said that if there are four full moons in a season instead of the usual three, the third is called a Blue Moon. There are four full moons in spring 2019: March 20, April 19, May 18 and June 17. That makes this month's full moon the Blue Moon. Of course, the moon itself will retain the bright white appearance it usually sports during its full phase. (By contrast, during a lunar eclipse, the moon passes into the Earth's shadow and turns red or a ruddy brown. ) The moon is coming under ever-increasing interest this year. Later this summer, spaceflight fans will mark the 50th anniversary of the first human moon landing, in 1969. And if President Donald Trump's administration has its way, the feat may be repeated within the next five years; the administration announced a few weeks ago that it plans to land astronauts on the moon again. luemoon #moon #constellation #science #solarsystem #nebula #stars #astrology #universe#galaxies #space #astronomy #hubble #telescope #astrophysics #astrophoto #spacex #cosmos #milkyway #nasa #deepspace #esa #spaceexploration #outerspace #blackhole #astronomia #espacio #universo #observatory #galaxia

To me, this is one of the most astounding ways to look at the role of life in the Universe. There is a descent into disorder that is happening across the entire universe. As time passes, every single joule of energy is converted into heat. The universe gradually cools towards absolute zero. Until with no ordered energy left, the cosmos grinds to a halt and every structure in it decays away. By converting chemical energy into heat, life transforms energy from an ordered to a disordered form, in exactly the same way as every other process in the universe. In fact, every single human being can generate 6,000 times more heat per kilogram than the sun. And it's by converting so much energy from one form to another that life is able to hang on to a tiny amount of order for itself. Just enough to resist the inevitable decay of the universe.  #briancox #life #space #entropy #science #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa # # #spacecraft #interstellar #physics #astrophysics #spacecraft #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa #jaxajp #Cosmology #and #accumulator #galaxy #mini

Sound up 🎶  The Moon is shrinking as its interior cools, getting more than about 150 feet (50 meters ) skinnier over the last several hundred million years.  Just as grape wrinkles as it shrinks down to a raisin, the Moon gets wrinkles as it shrinks. Unlike the flexible skin on a grape, the Moon’s surface crust is brittle, so it breaks as the Moon shrinks, forming “thrust faults” where one section of crust is pushed up over a neighboring part.  A new study released this month shows these changes may be generating moonquakes 🌕 〰️ .  Credit: NASA Goddard/ Ernie Wright and David Ladd #Moon #NASA #Moon2024 #space #Sleep #astrophysics #spacecraft #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa #jaxajp #Cosmology #indianspace #indianarmy #indiatravelgram #Indian #indianfood #indianwedding #industrialdesign

Every six seconds, for millions of years, comets have been colliding with one another near a star in the constellation Cetus called 49 Ceti, which is visible to the naked eye. Over the past three decades, astronomers have discovered hundreds of dusty disks around stars, but only two — 49 Ceti is one — have been found that also have large amounts of gas orbiting them. Young stars, about a million years old, have a disk of both dust and gas orbiting them, but the gas tends to dissipate within a few million years and almost always within about 10 million years. Yet 49 Ceti, which is thought to be considerably older, is still being orbited by a tremendous quantity of gas in the form of carbon monoxide molecules, long after that gas should have dissipated.  #interstellar #nasa #astronomy #Soyuz #Space #Sleep #astrophysics #spacecraft #astronauts #telescope #eso #esa #jaxajp #Cosmology #and #accumulator #galaxy #mini

Woman from Venus you come, let me see what you have, free me from the ground, let's dance on the fly Stars dance incessantly, they do their ritual, a kiss of her to not stop dreaming stars. This piece of art is a golden and silver-laid Mamluk #Astrolabe 🌙 🔭 It was used for navigation and to determine the direction of the #Qibla (Mecca ) 🕋 The astrolabe was highly developed in the Islamic world by 800 and was introduced to Europe from Islamic Spain (Andalusia ) in the early 12th century. It was the most popular astronomical instrument. Astrolabes are still appreciated for their unique capabilites and their value for astronomy education. #astronomy #space #universe #stars #galaxy #science #moon #sky #cosmos #astrophotography #nightsky #milkyway #astrophysics #earth #telescope #physics #art #planets #sun #star #cosmology #solarsystem
