Cali in the afternoon, the heat was melting my whole body, I turned the corner and I found this person, completely out, sleeping in a space next to one of the main streets of Cali. This is a normal situation and the reasons are endless but the common reality for these people is to face the extremely addictive reaction of the so call Bazuco, this substance is destroying the lives of many people in the streets. It’s hard to contemplate this situation every time you walk. Cali, Colombia. • • #reportagespotlight #noicemag #ourmomentum #exploreobserveshare #myfeatureshot #travelphotography #southamerica #capturestreet #lensculturestreet #streetlystories #thestreetphotographyhub #oneworldphotograph #photodocumentary #storyofthestreets #streetphotography #streetphotographyworlwide #streetphotograhyinternational #streetdreamsmag #streets_storytelling #everybodystreet #lensonstreets #streets_unseen #spicollective #timeles_streets #urbanstreetphotogallery #streetgrammer #photojournalism #reportagespotlight

Around the corner I found this gathering in one of the main squares of Cali. the beverage that they were drinking is “Aguardiente” - very typical drink for Colombians. It seems a picturesque image but it shows a reality of alcoholism. This is one of the most important cuases of death in Colombia. Let’s celebrate life and not its destruction Cali, Colombia. • • #photojournalism #reportagespotlight #noicemag #ourmomentum #exploreobserveshare #myfeatureshot #travelphotography #southamerica #capturestreet #lensculturestreet #streetlystories #thestreetphotographyhub #oneworldphotograph #photodocumentary #storyofthestreets #streetphotography #streetphotographyworlwide #streetphotograhyinternational #streetdreamsmag #streets_storytelling #everybodystreet #lensonstreets #streets_unseen #spicollective #timeles_streets #urbanstreetphotogallery #streetgrammer #streetclassics

This situation is common in the streets of Cali, a man looking for recyclable materials in the bins of every corner of the city, some of them spend all day doing this, almost everyone carries a bag waiting to be filled, the next stops is unknown perhaps one day this could change but for now no one seems to care. Tucked away in the steep, cobbled streets of La Paz, stalls are piled high with dried llama fetuses, shriveled cats and sacks of herbs that Bolivians buy to ensure the goodwill of mother earth. In the Andean city's famous Witches' Market, tourists mingle with local women wearing the traditional indigenous dress of bowler hats and wide skirts. Bolivians come to this market and others like it in the South American country to stock up on offerings for mother earth. Pre-Christian culture remains strong in Bolivia, which has an indigenous majority, and vendors say there has been a resurgence of interest in traditional beliefs in recent years. The more exotic offerings, such as the dried corpses of wild cats and the feet of vicunas, are no longer sold due to a crackdown by authorities to conserve protected species. The vendors say they just keep them on show to attract tourists. But llama fetuses are one of the most common purchases. Before building a house, many workmen make sure there is a llama fetus on site to ward off accidents and rid the building of malevolent spirits. • • #photoobserve #fujifeed #reportagespotlight #bolivia #lapaz #noicemag #dreamermagazine #ourmomentum #exploreobserveshare #myfeatureshot #broadmag #travelphotography #southamerica #capturestreet #lensculturestreet #streetlystories #thestreetphotographyhub #oneworldphotograph #photodocumentary #storyofthestreets #streetphotography #streetphotographyworlwide #streetphotograhyinternational #fromstreetswithlove #streetdreamsmag #streets_storytelling #everybodystreet #lensonstreets #fujifilmxt20 #fujifilmglobal

"Bakwit" mural by Archie Oclos ( @tatak_a ) is painted in one of the walls of DLS-CSB School of Design and Arts and seen from a dormitory's parking lot along Dominga street. . Street artist Archie Oclos, one of the 2018 CCP 13 Artists Awardees, was inspired to make this mural after hearing the stories of "lumad" evacuees in Surigao del Sur while he was conducting an art workshop for "lumad" students last August 2018. . "Bakwit" is the visayan adaptation of the english word evacuee. Oclos made the mural for 24 days and considered to be the tallest mural in the Philippines with the height of 225ft. and 75ft. on width.
