Meal Prep Sunday 🙌🏻📅 This week I’m making my: 🦃 🌶 SHORTCUT TURKEY CHILI 🌶 🦃 Literally the hardest part about making this is washing the dishes afterwords 😅 I make big batches of this because it’s very freezer friendly. I will eat a little more then half this week and save the rest for later. It’s super easy to make for yourself or a big family. Find ways to make your meals delicious, yet healthy. I can’t stand eating grilled chicken, quinoa, and veggies 5 times a week. This chili is high in protein with turkey and beans! Pair with a side salad of spring mix greens and you’ve got yourself a delicious meal 😬 Try it! 👍🏻 I don’t have an exact recipe because I made this up, but here’s how I do it: 3️⃣ lbs. of ground lean turkey 2️⃣ large cans of crushed tomatoes 1️⃣ can of tomato paste 1️⃣ large can of kidney beans 1️⃣ large can of black beans 1️⃣ large white onion 2️⃣ poblano peppers (seeded/skin off ) 2️⃣ red or green bell peppers 3️⃣ cloves of garlic (crushed ) 1️⃣ packet of McCormick Low Sodium Chili Seasoning 1️⃣ packet of Williams Original No Salt Added Chili Seasoning ⏹ Salt and pepper to taste ✔️Brown your turkey and drain it ✔️ Add your chopped veggies into a pan and let them cook until soft ✔️ Add canned ingredients and seasonings ✔️ Put turkey and let simmer for 20-25 minutes HINT: ‼️ RINSE YOUR BEANS ‼️ Dump them into a colander and rinse them under cold water. It’s been a very long time since I felt pretty or confident and I have more days than not where I still feel like I did 137lbs ago. But I know I’m not the same, and I never will be again. It will take time for me to truly realize what everyone else sees. My dream is to be able to be confident and complete in myself. Today’s homework was to post something about my dreams, and for the life of me, I can’t think of anything more than being happy and stress-free. So, back to confident, fit, strong, financially secure, anxiety-free, and most of all closer to God.

What I love most about being a coach is the opportunity to help people in the way my coaches have helped me. I’m just starting out as a coach and I’m super shy, so, this is a struggle for me. I was always a thin little kid and then I broke my foot in four places, had surgery, pins, and the whole nine yards and was laid up for a year and a half. I had to relearn how to walk and reuse my foot and in that time I gained 90lbs when I was 12-13. It was the year I went through puberty and changed in so many ways. And then after that, my weight continued as I grew. When I was at my heaviest, I felt ashamed of how fat and gross I was, and that I wasted so much of my life like that, feeling like an ugly slob. I was always hating on myself for letting my weight get that out of control and abusing my body in that way. I am still going through the mental part of the journey and accepting the fact that I’m not who I see in the mirror. In just a little over 2 years, I’ve lost 137 pounds and 114 inches; I have to remind myself that it will never come back. And that I’m healthy and fit now. I have been through so many ups and downs and a bad car accident and double pneumonia but I’ve always kept myself grounded. I eat clean every day and I have one cheat meal a week. I’ve went from a size 3X to an XS-Small (Size 24 to 2/4. I also lost one and a half (9.5 to 8-7.5 ) shoe sizes and a helmet size. In short, Beach Body & Shakeology has changed my life forever and has given me my life back! If I can do it, anyone can! HMU if you’re interested in joining me on this journey! ... (137lb difference. Size 24 to size 4 ) An outstanding lady and friend told me to post about this; about my mindset, and that it may help others see they aren’t the only ones that feel this way. The girl in both pictures is me. And the one on the left is the same me I see when I look in the mirror. Even though no one else sees that girl any longer, it’s still the same way I see myself as. I have a horrible time being self-confident, but I’m good at trying and pretending I am. I still feel like that fat girl; some days I feel ugly and fat and I have to remind myself that I’m not. I hate a lot of features about myself, and it’s only through my eyes. No one else sees what I’m talking about, but I am my own worst enemy. I now need to work on the mental part of this journey, and this is the first step. I posted this on my personal page the other day and it fits nicely here as well: I’m about to be vulnerable for a moment here. I was thinking to myself today about things I say on a daily basis and the sad reality of it is I say, “I’m sorry.” “What?” “I can’t hear you?” and “wth?” The majority of the day... The “I’m sorry’s” come from a place of feeling like everything is my fault and that I can never be good enough. The “what’s?” and the “I can’t hear you’s” are obviously because I can’t hear crap. And then the “Wth’s” pretty much explain themselves. But to understand me and to walk a day in my shoes would mean you’d be saying these four phrases dozens of times a day. It sucks. But with help from a couple of individuals I’ve come to realize that in order to love who you are, you cannot hate the experiences that shaped you. ...

I had lost 20lbs from my heaviest in the pic on the left, and now the sight of that picture makes me sick. Now between the pic on the left and the pic on the right is 115lb difference.
