Where are my other first time home buyers at? 🖐🏼🙋🏻‍♀️ Y’all! My life is in full on HECTIC AF mode. Buying a house is no joke! . Something I’ve learned the hard way — just because you’re going through a process does NOT mean everything else can be put on pause. Everything doesn’t just stop. Life keeps going, Earth keeps spinning 🌎 Sure, sometimes it’s overwhelming. Some days you’ll feel like your working towards the next day, scrambling just to catch up. But, once you’re there; once you’ve finally made it — MAN THAT FEELS GOOD! . It’s my job to be real with y’all, so here it is — recently... this has been me. I’ve seriously been neglecting my mental, emotional and physical. Between packing, collecting and signing papers, learning about home insurance, life insurance and all the other insurances in between, I felt like I was drowning — trying to keep my head above the water, holding on for the next day. Continually making excuses like, “I don’t have time right now. I’ll just do it later.” (Does this sound familiar? ) You may be able to fool others but you can’t fool yourself. Later never comes. ALSO Side note* If you have time to stop and smell the flowers 🌻 you have the time to do ANYTHING. . Who else hates this feeling? Good. Me too! Let’s make some changes. First things first — Thank the LORD for my virtual gym. Having hundreds of workouts to choose from, tailored to your current lifestyle is a GIFT 🎁! I was having trouble keeping up with my 60 minute, 7 days a week workouts. Rather than call it quits, I adjusted and started 30 minute, 4 days a week. These programs are literally designed for EVERYONE’S need in EVERY stage of your life! .... Next up and just as important! Personal Development. Do something YOU love. Listen to a podcast (I LOVE @msrachelhollis ), read your favorite book, do SOMETHING. Personal development is so important in learning and growing into the best version of yourself. . I start week 3 and I can feel the difference in my strength 💪🏼 and energy levels ⚡️. If I were to open spots in my virtual gym would you wanna do this with me? 👯‍♀️

Sundays are usually a day of rest for me but today was a day of work! 🤗💪Last night I had the desire to set my intentions for this upcoming week and that included getting a solid workout in today. I saw this picture on the right and reflected back to where I started in this journey and the picture on the left will always be my reminder of WHY I started. I was unhealthy, unhappy, depressed, lazy and honestly....just frustrated with myself to no end 🤯 I’m really proud of myself for setting a date, setting intentions, knowing my self-worth, and putting my health first for the first time in my life. April 1st 2018 I decided to commit to health and fitness and haven’t looked back! These long legs have been hard to shape over the last year but I’m starting to love my progress and wearing skirts is something I never did! I hated my legs! But Not anymore 🤗💁‍♀️🤸‍♂️Learning to love the progress and not focusing on perfection...Today’s circuit workout was 6 moves 10 rounds: 💙mountain climbers 500 total reps 💙front raises 150 total reps 💙bent over rows 150 total reps 💙upright rows 150 total reps 💙DB Curls 200 total reps 💙pushups 100 total Followed up by my ab circuit including a 1 minute forearm plank each day. Intentions for this week: 🌱Each day will be my regular weight training routine. 🌱Pilates on Wednesday. 🌱Picking a day for the gym to incorporate legs presses(only machine I don’t have ). 🌱Increase my protein intake. 🌱Look into a cross fit workout! 🌱Drink more water. 🌱Incorporate more personal development. 🏋🏻‍♀️ Alot of people think that when they go to a Personal Trainer, this is going to fix everything. A PT can certainly help but with exercise only being 20-25% of where your progress comes from, your nutrition really is absolute key to seeing results. You can lose weight without exercising which again shows how important nutrition can be. Of course exercise has so many benefits but that's another topic for another time! I wanted to really hit home just how important what you put into your body really does . . ✅ Only buy what you NEED - If weight loss is your goal then when you're doing your weekly shop, plan your weekly meals before you go, that way your less likely to pick up stuff you know won't work in your favour! . . ✅ Don't shop when you're hungry! You will buy everything in sight, spend a fortune and buy all the things you want that at the time, are going to fill you with happiness but in the long run, aren't going to help you at all . . ✅ Stop eating your feelings - Easier said than done but how many times when you were growing up if you were upset, did you get given food to make you feel better? This carries over to adulthood and causes us to eat when we're emotional. This is something that takes time and can be very hard to do but taking up exercise for example can be a very positive and beneficial way to manage those emoitons . ✅ Invest in a good healthy recipe book - Sit down with your partner or family once a week and all pick out 4 or 5 meals you like the sound of. Write down the ingredients and add them to the shopping list. Save money by buying in bulk and choosing a recipe where leftovers can be used for lunch the next day 🍴 ✅ Eating healthy doesn't have to be boring or restrictive - Eat foods you enjoy! ✅ Make sure you have 1 day a week where you look forward to your favourite treat - having something to look forward to can really keep you going 💪🏻 ✅ Drink water 💦 and lots of it! Aim for 2 litres a day.
