Good Friday Athletes! Its almost the end of the week. After a hard training session in the gym, in the field and during matches our muscle starts to fatigue and becomes sore. This is where we put them to rest, recover and adapt. "What should I do to rest these bad boys up?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1️⃣ Get 7-9 hours of sleep: The perfect number is 8 hours here. But hey! People are different. But please try to get your sleeping schedule as consistent as possible. This is so that you can get enough recovery and perform better. 2️⃣Active Recovery: This recovery technique includes light exercise such as yoga, swimming, cycling and even using the foam roller to stretch the area where you feel is tight and sore. This will increase blood flow and help you stay injury free. 3️⃣Massage: While massage is one of the most famous known recovery technique. Most evidence does not support massage as a modality to improve recovery of functional performance. But hey it does improve psychological aspects of recovery, since we all love some good massage. 4️⃣Compression Garments: This is a piece of clothing that fit tightly around the skin. This helps circulation of blood around your body. An important tool for post-exercise recovery. 5️⃣Stretching: Well most athletes know the feeling of getting cramps mostly during matches or after. Its because you might not be taking your cooling down stretches seriously. 6️⃣Hydrotheraphy: Elite athletes use this technique as an essential tool for recovery. There are two types of Hydrotheraphy (1 ) Water Immersion: Hold/Cold water for a period of time and (2 ) Contrast Water Immersion: Athlete alternates between hot and cold water immersion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't just play, be professional. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🇮🇩: Translate for Bahasa
