Testifying in Bangor 🕊 thanks @chrisstapleton for having us
Love this review from Rolling Stone for my husband @jivey ’s new song/video, “jangling electric guitar crunch that’s equal parts Tom Petty and Neil Young , “Diamonds Back to Coal” is a bleak look at irreversible damage and oppression being felt in the current moment. “Is this the land that we borrowed/is this the land that we stole?” So proud to have produced his debut album “The Dream & The Dreamer” which is out Sept 13th on @antirecords 🎥: @mattbizer
It’s been great to spend some time at home ushering a new soul into the world but I’m excited to be back out on the road doin what I love! Lots of shows and festivals lined up for this summer, including a string of dates with Chris Stapleton that starts tonight. It’s crazy to think just 4 weeks ago I had an emergency c-section... but you can’t keep a bad bitch down. 🤘🏽 All tour dates up on my website at margoprice.net 📷: @andybarron
Looking forward to @farmaid 2019 with this incredible line up! This is a cause that is so close to my heart, not only because my family lost their farm back in the farming crisis of the 1980’s but because family farms are still struggling today and they need our help now more than ever. Join us in Wisconsin on September 21. Ticket pre-sale starts July 10. General public sale starts July 12. More info at https://farmaid.org/festival #FarmAid2019
Happy Father’s Day to the only Daddy that’ll walk the line @jivey 💞 you’re the kind of man I hope our son grows up to be
“I don’t trust computers anymore gonna buy a little weed at the marijuana store” Happy release day to my dear friend @lukasnelsonofficial & Promise of the Real. Loved singing on this record- go buy it now!
I’m really excited to share this news! My husband and co-writer, Jeremy Ivey, is releasing his debut album with @antirecords (home of legends like Tom Waits and Mavis Staples ). This is the first of three projects I’ve produced and I believe in all of them so much. Here’s one we wrote together called “Story of a Fish”. Full album out soon! Congrats @jivey I am so proud of you and thanks @reel_recording @evanpdonohue @coleyfranklinhinson for bringing the Crazy Horse vibes
Happy Birthday to one of the only people who can out-smoke me, my guitar picker @jamie_t_davis love you buddy!
I spent the entire past week producing the new @jessi_colter album and I’ve got to say, it’s incredible. Her songwriting, her playing, her voice are as strong as ever. She is the OG Queen of “Outlaw” Country. My band killed it in the studio, if y’all need some talented musicians for sessions, get um while you can. We’re back out on the road in July opening for @chrisstapleton 🖤 @dilloniousmonk @jamie_t_davis @micahsamuelll @blackdaddy @lukefromnashville @jivey @alexmpebble
Happy Birthday to the man, the myth, the legend, @willienelsonofficial ! Swapping jokes, singing songs and smoking weed with him has been one of the highlights of my life. Here’s a little clip of him, @1mauimom and I listening to our duet “Learning to Lose” and smoking vapes on his bus. Also, his 74th studio album “Ride Me Back Home” is out on June 21st. It’s so inspiring to see him still writing, releasing records and touring his ass off at 86! None of us can keep up.... Love y’all! 🎥: @danielle holbert
So excited to be a part of this! Our version of “Most Likely You’ll Go Your Way” (and I’ll Go Mine ) is included in Mojo Magazine’s @bobdylan compilation, ‘The New Thunder Review’ alongside a bunch of talented artists. It also includes Dylan’s 1975 reinvention of “The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll” from the original Rolling Thunder Tour. Available in the UK tomorrow, April 23rd and in the US in June.
“Fire rages in the streets And swallows everything it meets It's just an image often seen On television Come leaders, come you men of great Let us hear you pontificate Your many virtues laid to waste And we aren't listening What do you have for us today Throw us a bone but save the plate On why we waited til so late Was there no oil to excavate No riches in trade for the fate Of every person who died in hate Throw us a bone, you men of great There is a train that's heading straight To heaven's gate, to heaven's gate And on the way, child and man And woman wait, watch and wait For redemption day It's buried in the countryside It's exploding in the shells at night It's everywhere a baby cries Freedom” This song gave my chills the first time I heard it. Hearing Johnny Cash sing it with her amplifies the meaning. 🙏🏽Beautifully written @sherylcrow
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! This one definitely takes the cake 😭 @willienelsonofficial @1mauimom love y’all!
Crazy to think three years ago today, the band and I played SNL. We were traveling in a sprinter van and had a small crew, consisting of one person, my tour manager @evanpdonohue - who was also doing our front of house sound. I think it surprised the staff that we were all carrying our own instruments. The entire crew was so kind to us... it’s a moment I’ll never forget. 💘 photo by my favorite @maryellenmatthewsnyc
