We have such a full, busy, gone all day kinda day ahead so when I saw it was yoga today I was kinda excited for once 🧘♀️ I’ve been lifting more but my flexibility in my shoulder has still been hard. Moves behind my back like this have not happened...until today 🙌💕 I was totally in that zone, focusing on my breath, letting my thoughts just be and look what happened!!! This was huge to me!! Today was workout 55/100 and I’ve come so far but watch out!!!! There’s still 45 more workouts to make my come back because my next program is going to be a doozy!!! 😱 It’s brand new and is going to be my ultimate challenge. 🔥
They asked....I said why not 🤷♀️ because this Momma stayed up waaaay too late last night watching super old episodes of Grey’s Anatomy 😬 Dinner out. Not something we do often. Why? Because I have 3 boys that can put away some food💰 and let’s all accept the fact that eating out with kids isn’t peaceful. Headed to MOD pizza and while I really wanted to plow down this entire pizza 🍕 & salad 🥗- I put half away immediately so I wouldn’t. Nothing super awesome about my workout this morning. It’s Thursday - so close to Friday yet so far away! Today was the day. 😬 Quite a few moves were starting to feel too easy with the weights I’d been using. It was time to take it up a notch. It always makes me nervous now not knowing how my shoulder will respond to it but the lovely part is that many don’t think is possible....if it feels too heavy or if a few reps in you fatigue or lose your form....you drop set and go back down to lighter weights. Progress will never happen if you don’t get out of your head....out of your comfort zone....and try. 🙌 Changes are happening even if you only do 1-2 reps with the heavier weights or push ups on your toes. Could you do that last week? No?! Then the is PROGRESS. Next time...try for one more rep. It’s a snowball effect and it does happen....slowly. You just have to be patient and trust that what you are doing is working. My October accountability bootcamp kicks off soon. There was not one minute of this workout that was easy today. Even the warm up was hard. Why? Who knows. It just was today. I modified a ton of it but pushed myself when I could. That last 100 second challenge though?! Nailed it!!! I finished strong instead of leaving it feeling like I failed. But the crazy thing is....when you put all your effort into something (even if it’s not the best effort you’ve ever had but the nest effort you can give in that moment ) you win. So stop worrying about how you didn’t modify any in the same workout last week or how you think someone else did better than you. You are your only competition and if your all in that moment - then you have succeeded! 💕
Slowing down is not something I do well but is a goal of mine in this season of life I’m in. It doesn’t mean I have to stop doing things. It just means I am more mindful and intentional with my time. Have you tried it? Unplugging mostly on weekends or evenings? Taking a slow walk with your family? Reading an actual book for 10 min? Sipping your coffee or tea on the front porch even if it’s a few minutes? Life goes by so fast and if you’re constantly asking yourself where the time went - I challenge you to start being more aware and noticing the little things that make life wonderful. Yep!! Even on a Sunday. Why? Because I made a commitment to MYSELF! 💕 How? Discipline. Motivation is crap. It fizzles out. You need a goal, a why and discipline to show up for yourself. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. You can scroll social media for 30 min or you can workout for 30 min. It’s ultimately your decision. I wasn’t always disciplined. It took a lot of work and consistency to get there. You can too! I promise. My 💕LAST 90 DAYS 💕group is open to join. We are going to finish the year as strong as we started it. This morning was LIT 🔥 This one is usually my least favorite. Why? Because jumping is not my fav. Cardio is not my fav. Combine them? 😬🙈😳😫 But this morning I DECIDED my disdain for them wasn’t going to hold me back. I mean - it was only 21 minutes. So I pulled up my big girl britches and BROUGHT IT! 👊 You see - every morning you have the decision to go half assed or full assed. In my opinion - you should always put your full ass into anything you’re doing 😂😉💕

I 💯% feel like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning 🙄 Not how I wanted to start my day. Spent some time reading my PD and felt like my schedule yoga day wasn’t going to cut it. Turns out - it’s just what I needed. I often have squirrel brain but today focused on my breath and sinking into the poses. Not saying my funky junk mood is totally gone but it’s waaay better now! ☺️ Are you a fan of yoga? 🧘♀️
This week I’m sharing my small wins to show you (and mainly myself ) that the little victories matter 🙌 Push ups are coming along nicely. I’m starting to get a little more strength and flexibility which feels good. I’m able to go down much further in my knee push ups today 💕 Of course my goal is to work back up to on the toe push ups but for today I’m focusing on this win here 👇 this is still a super modified version of what the trainer is doing but that’s why I love our programs. They are totally customizable to meet you where you are. I used to feel like modifying meant I was weak but let me just tell you - modifying is still Badass in my books! 😉 Can you share a win from your day so far? 🤷♀️ Remember - it doesn’t have to be a big, ginormous thing.
Another night of #momtaxi life here 🥰 . Moved around practices and a hubby who can’t eat tonight for a procedure tomorrow meant a rare occasion drive thru night for the munchkins. . I dig deep into my willpower and ate at home instead. 🙌💕 Some days it’s about the small wins. 😜 . Did you have a win today?! I’d love to hear it!
All the breathing and concentration this Monday morning. Core is hard for me and truth be told - my hamstrings are so tight - they felt like they may snap in this move 😬 . Sleeping with a 4 yr old is like an Olympic sport and by sport - I mean full contact because if he wasn’t kicking me in the head - he was lying on top of me and apparently he likes to also talk in his sleep. 🤷♀️ . So channeling all the caffeine and good vibes to get me through this Monday morning ☕️ Cheers ☕️☕️☕️
In all honesty folks...I really thought I’d be further than I am 42 workouts in. . Yes- there’s a difference in pictures but the scale and me are at a standstill 🙄 I had a goal in mind when I started. A weight goal. An inches goal. A get back in my pants without feeling like a stuffed sausage goal. 😂 . I’ve gained around 10-15lbs since April when my shoulder got really bad. I’ve lost so much muscle and a whole lot of confidence. . My cravings are high and my nutrition is definitely not 100%. Most days are good but some are not. I’ve tried eating less. I’ve tried eating more. I’ve tried changing up what I’m eating. . So while there is a visual difference from my before’s to now - I still have a long ways to go to feel back to myself. . So here’s to making food choices this week and giving myself grace to know that I didn’t gain the 10-15 lbs overnight and I won’t lose them overnight either. . If you’re frustrated or having a blah day/month or feeling stuck - I feel you. We got this though 👊 One day at a time. 💕
🔥Some days you need a slower MMA workout that makes you focus on every breath and every move to help you refocus. 🔥 It’s not always about how heavy you can lift, how fast your feet can move, what kind of car you drive, where you went to high school, your career, the competition of every day life... ✨ NO ✨ Sometimes it’s about the fact that you woke up this morning, that you have air in your lungs, a heartbeat in your chest and people who love you. So my challenge to you today is to go throughout today and focus on the things that normally seem insignificant or small. Because often times those are the moments that truly matter. 💕🙌
We have a friend who is in desperate need of some BIG prayers tonight. . It is not my story to tell but please know the prayers are needed. I asked what I could do today to help and was told JUST PRAY BIG. . So that is what we are doing. If you feel so inclined - please say a prayer for our friend and his family for strength and healing.
Today I lifted weights and prayers 🙌 . Today I worked out for those that can’t. For those that lay in a hospital bed with tubes and wires needing to be healed. For the families that wait by their loved ones sides. . Life is fragile and tomorrow is not guaranteed. . Fast, easy meal pre tip! 🔥 Hubby has meetings at the firehouse all week and then works his 48 hr shift later this week. We were grilling for Labor Day so he threw on extra food so he has food all week instead of eating out. Maybe all my years of meal prepping is rubbing off on him! 😜 Grilling is a great, healthy way to prep a ton of food at once!! Did you grill this holiday weekend?
HAPPY LABOR DAY!! . A holiday and day off work meant a later workout! B man was too cute when he came down right as I was pressing play. He said it was “perfect timing!” so he could workout with me! 🥰 . I 💯% welcomed the workout partner because LIT Cardio is not my fav. Y kids are the reason I started working out at home and almost 4 years later - I’m in awe at how much they enjoy it now too! . They see me taking a little time each day to focus on my health and in turn they are learning by example. 💕 @jerichomcmatthews @carldaikeler
Were you expecting to see a before and now pic tonight? 🤷♀️ Well- here it is! I crossed off Day 38 in my program today and I’m so happy with my progress. 38 days ago I wasn’t allowed or able to do push ups. I slowly started incorporating wall push ups into my PT and at home. I am now able to do push ups on my knees!🙌 When I started working out almost 4 years ago - I couldn’t do one push up to save my life. #nojoke Being able to do 10 push ups on my toes was one of my top goals which I met! I know I’ll get there again and seeing the progress I am making is incredible. So often we think we’re failing because we haven’t reached that huge end goal that we set and miss out on all the victories along the way. No matter if you’ve never worked out before, are restarting your journey or coming back from an injury/surgery - you’ll get stronger every day but you have to be willing to put the work in. 💕
Look at my handsome workout crew this morning 🥰 Slept in a tad and these guys decided to join me....they kinda regretted their decision but they powered through. House is a mess but it’s going to have to wait. Major headache means pj’s, Halo Top and trying to figure out what’s going on watching Avengers End Game with the boys. 💕 I’ve missed too many movies between the original and now that I’m super confused! Are you an Avengers fan?! I love the movies. It “may” be because of Thor 😉 but we will just leave it at they’re great movies!
