not too surprisingly wildlife don’t tend to react well when you try to take pictures and videos of them. however, if you put away your phone (like I did after snapping some photos of this little dude ) they’ll warm up to you, they’ll be more willing to come close to you. we need to pay attention to what they’re trying to show us - put away your phone and enjoy the moment cause something beautiful might just happen when you do ✨

As long as I live, I'll hear waterfalls and birds and winds sing I'll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche I'll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can John Muir

this was taken the first week of work, when we were first learning how to cross country ski 🌲 it’s since been over a month since living in the woods, breathing fresh forest air and skiing through thick smooth snow almost everyday and i can guarantee that even on a cold, wet day, a ski will make everything right again ⛷ I’m so grateful for this beautiful forest and everything in it, from the trees you can see to the birds you can hear and what is invisible to the eye under the surface ♥️ #outdooreducation #outdooreducationinstructor

showing trees some appreciation for all they do for us today 🌲♥️ #nationalhuggingday 🍂 fun fact, the tree behind the one I’m hugging is a beech tree and they keep their leaves all winter until the new buds push off the older leaves in the spring! 🍂 @tentreeambassadors @tentree 📸 @cammy_gc

A phenomenal visual representation of our human impact on the planet. This film features clips of devastating human impacts I had never seen before that literally made me shiver. This is what our species is capable of and we have to be better than this. If you have the chance to go to the exhibit or see the film, take it. It’s a film that everyone needs to see - it’s the frightening reality of our world. #sustainabilityadvocates #anthropocene #anthropoceneproject
