Today I came across a line of fungi under a Water gum, which appears to have broken through the bitumen. There were four almost in a perfect row as if radiating from the trunk. Is this possible? Fungi breaks bitumen?

Thanks to Ryan for our new office table. A slice from a beautiful Eucalyptus radiata (Narrow leaved Peppermint ). A victim of progress, this tree has been replaced by new student accomodation at Monash Peninsula campus. We have ensured that it is replaced with more trees and a re-instated creek ....and it has become beautiful furniture.
