Mental illness doesn’t always have a rhyme or reason. Sometimes it just hits you out of no where & you can’t explain why you feel the way you do. Outside circumstances may build onto these feelings, but there isn’t always a source that you can point to for the feelings you’re having. And that’s okay, normal even. •It doesn’t make it any less real• Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Bipolar, PTSD, ADHD, & countless other illnesses are all VALID. You are valid. Your struggles are valid. Don’t EVER let someone tell that these struggles aren’t real or that you should “just get over it”. Just please take care of yourself & get any help that you need. There are always people in your corner, sometimes you just have to ask for help. Talk about how you feel & talk about it often. Don’t be ashamed, the brain can be damaged just as much as any other organ. TAKE CARE OF IT. 🧠••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• “Mental Health is just as important as physical health” This quotes drives me in my goals & passions. Finally made it back in to the gym after a bit of a break recently. There have been lots of exciting things keeping me busy (like moving into a 🏠!! ) & as easy as it is to blame my lack of attendance on my packed schedule, you always make time for the things you want to. • • Sometimes you just feel extra drained & unmotivated. Which is okay! As much as you may love or want something, sometimes you need time to regroup & show your mental health some extra love. A common side effect of depression is a lack of interest in things you normally enjoy & it can fluctuate in severity. • • So don’t feel guilty if you miss a few days or lose motivation to do the things you normally do from time to time. Just give yourself a breather & then get back to it!

Something I’ve learned recently is that you shouldn’t feel bad for anything that makes you happier or, even better, motivates you to work harder and be a better version of you. Some people may question it because it’s “unnecessary” or “expensive” or just something they’re not into. Which may be true but if it positively impacts your mood, your drive, or that smile on your face, DO IT. • • • Obviously this is for things within your reach. Don’t splurge or stretch yourself too thin, because then that thing that motivated you may become a source of stress. Be patient & work for what you want, if necessary. But DONT ever feel bad for wanting something that others may look down on. Be y o u. ✌🏼 {P.s. you can find me living in my new gymshark sports bra}

SO much harder than it looks. It’s all about keeping your core tight to maintain balance on the Bosu Ball.
